Awarded first and second place for my Edgar Allen Poe and Henry David Thoreau papers which proved to be the most outstanding undergraduate essays in fields of special interest to the late Professor Snead: Film, African-American literature, German literature, or American literature.
2002 Research Abroad Program Assistantships
Awarded a summer assistantship of $3,000 for my proposal to study Irish literature in Ireland under the on-site direction of a faculty member.
